Dear Friend of Creation,
This summer has seen the blockbuster release of the 7th film in the Jurassic Park franchise all about dinosaurs in our present age, Jurassic World: Rebirth. And though based on some false evolutionary assumptions, the scientific discoveries upon which this science fiction is based are actually quite interesting and exciting for biblical creationists!
In this case, we have the true findings of original bio-materials – “soft tissues” – in fossils, including so-called “very ancient” fossils. The premise in the original movie was that mosquitoes, which had bitten dinosaurs and then became trapped in fossilized tree resin (amber), could be sampled for the blood of dinosaurs. The dinosaur DNA was then used to make living dinosaurs for an island theme park that inevitably spirals out of control.
So the entire premise of the franchise series has been based on the assumption that soft-tissue can survive un-degraded for more than 65 million years! – the assumed age of dinosaurs according to evolution. Indeed, the truth of the matter is that such soft-tissue is increasingly being found in supposedly multi-million-year-old fossils. Knowing that finding soft tissues in extremely ancient fossils challenges credulity, evolutionists have been trying to explain them away as some kind of “contamination”. Or they are inventing “scenarios” as to how the soft tissues might have been preserved for so long.
But proteins, DNA, and other “soft-tissue” organic chemicals surviving 65 million years is frankly impossible. Think about it. We’ve all experienced food going bad or meat becoming rotten if left out. The proteins and carbohydrates in plant and animal products degrade in the presence of moisture, heat, and radiation. Even with the best preservatives and systems we can come up with, food products don’t last very long. Twenty years? Fifty years? I’m sure you would not be comfortable eating food you knew was 100 years old, would you? Canned foods should not be eaten much beyond 5 years. And freeze-dried foods are known to last only 20-30 years. Do you realize that there are 650,000 periods of 100 years in 65 million years? That’s some VERY VERY old organic matter to remain “unspoiled”.
Yet, more and more of such “original bio-material” has been found over the last 30 years, accelerating to this day in 2025. Because their own explanations are unsatisfactory, evolutionists frequently suppress this evidence - censoring, ridiculing, and attacking the scientists who disagree with their assumption of long ages. They play the usual game of repeatedly asserting millions of years and excluding the publishing of research with contrary opinions through a biased “peer review”.
Scavenger plants and animals, termites, ants, beetles, algae, sponges, worms, and bacteria usually complete the efficient destruction of organisms in a short time. Even bones are consumed and decay. But what’s the key factor that prevents biological deterioration?
Rapid burial in water-saturated soils, so that air and oxygen are squeezed out and mineral exchange can take place. Then, if the soils are allowed to dry out within a few years, hydrolytic breakdown by the water is prevented and the fossil lies ready to be discovered.
Exceptionally preserved dinosaur “mummies” with skin traces covering substantial parts of the body have been found. Like the fossils of fish eating other fish, and polystrate fossil trees linking many layers of rock supposedly separated by millions of years, the evidence for rapid fossilization is all around us.
Let’s see, what creates rapid burial under water-logged soils which then dry out? Hmm… I know! A flood! The best scenario for the billions of worldwide fossils, found even on mountain tops, is for a global flood that covered the whole earth and changed it. Coupled with the hundreds of separate cultural flood legends, and the Biblical account of Noah, don’t you think that scientists should consider that a cataclysmic global flood might have impacted the world in the past to affect how we know and measure it today?
Yet the secular scientists, educated in the presuppositions of non-theism, naturalistic philosophy, uniformitarianism, and evolutionism, simply rule out this all-so-obvious possibility. The Bible prophesied that this would be the case, “there shall come in the last days scoffers… for this they are willingly ignorant of, that … the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished” (2 Peter 3:3-6).
The phrase “willingly ignorant” makes it clear that our problem is a matter of willpower. People disbelieve in God and Christ, not because unbelief is “smarter”, but because they WILL themselves to do so – through subtle choices along with some not-so-subtle ones. As it says in Romans 1:18, people choose to “hold (suppress) the truth in unrighteousness”.
The truth of biblical creation is foundational to the rest of the Bible and to the faith and practice of Christians. Yet, “the god of this world” has been behind the ridicule of believers as well as the suppression of evidence which points to biblical creation. At the same time, that worldly spirit hammers away with the just-so-stories of evolution, subverting and censoring creation truth from the public arena while inundating society with what is, at its root, a godless philosophy. The net effect is that the truth is flipped upside down and a grand deception is put in its place. Christians are often oblivious to the danger because the attacks are usually subtle and shaming, and are loaded with half-truths.
The actual evidence upholds a biblical model. The long ages of evolution are not supported by fossil discoveries. The fossils contain soft-tissue which could only in some cases last thousands of years in the most ideal conditions. There is no plausible scenario that can accommodate those molecules surviving for millions of years!
