    Dear Friend of Creation Moments,

My wife, Susan, was leaving the house and already out the door, and I called out to her, “When will I see you again?” And she called back, “What?!”

So I thought I’d be cute and follow-up with the next phrase from the old pop song “When Will I See You Again”, and called to her a little louder, “When will we share precious moments?!” And she laughed and got in the car. (There’s a joke that says, “50% of conversation in marriage is saying “What?” from the next room”.)

Indeed, the Bible teaches that marriage, the love between husband and wife, is a reflection of and analogous to the love relationship which we have, or should have, with the Lord! It is the “mega mystery” of Ephesians 5:32 which sets up the whole purpose of God in Creation. We are His special creation; made in His image: with the freedom to love Him or not. And He is calling out His Church, His people, into a love relationship now in this present age, and in which we are being prepared to experience in greater fullness in the eternal age to come!

As “the bride of Christ”, we are being courted by the Lord, who is “the Bridegroom”. And as the earthly reflection of the heavenly truth in marriage presents it, “…they two shall be one flesh. This is a great (huge, “mega”) mystery; but I speak concerning Christ and the church,” (Ephesians 5:32). We are awaiting the ♫“Hallelujah Chorus”♫ of Revelation 19:6, ahead of the marriage of the Lamb in Revelation 19:7 to His betrothed, the Church!

So, we are a bride, with a bridegroom who loves and cherishes us beyond belief. Don’t you know that He truly wants those “precious moments” with us? He asks, with the songwriter above, “When will I see you again? … When will we share precious moments? … Are we in love, or just friends?”

Since our Creator made us in His image, and since we have a strong desire and drive for intimacy, don’t you know that He has a desire for intimacy with us! – one that makes our desire for human intimacy pale in comparison!

Remember the first and greatest commandment given to the Lord’s people, which has not changed from Old Covenant to New Covenant. “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets” (Matthew 22:37-40, Mark 12:28-34, composite).

How do we love God? You may have heard or read about “The Five Love Languages” – ways of showing and receiving love, made popular for many years through the series of books by Pastor Gary Chapman. They are, in no particular order: Quality Time Together; Words of Affirmation; Physical Touch; Gifts; and Acts of Service. Each one of us has preferred modes of showing and receiving love, which fall into these categories, and are more or less natural to our individual personalities. God, as the perfect and complete Super-Personality, is completely desiring to fully relate to us in each and every one of the “five languages of love”. So, being called to love Him with all our “heart, soul, mind, and strength”, I thought about how that might look in the reciprocating love relationship we are called to with the Lord. You may have other ideas about how to arrange such a list and that’s fine.

Quality Time – prayer life, worship, stillness in fellowship and communion with our great God. Words of Affirmation – praise, prayer, testimony, preaching His Word, declaration, proclamation. Giving – giving our tithes, offerings, and time. Touch – pressing in with desire for an emotional connection, thankfulness, worship, contemplation of His beauty and goodness. Acts of Service – serving the Lord with our labors, waiting on Him and taking the Spirit-led opportunity to obey His promptings.

These concepts can be applied to loving others; “love thy neighbor as thyself”. When we’ve seen revival, we have seen repentance and renewal toward fulfilling both of the Great Commandments. The famous “Jesus Revolution” of the early 1970s in the United States, is a case in point. It grew out of a conservative evangelical Christian base and was embraced by young people of the time, “hippies”, disillusioned by all the materialism, drugs, and sexual revolution. An early praise song of the movement would sing “…that’s how it is with God’s love, once you’ve experienced it…you want to pass it on.”

God created us for love! We are His own special people – not only created in His image, but called and chosen for His purposes! The KJV of the Bible uses the phrase “peculiar people…”, which at its root means His special purchased possession – purchased with the blood of Christ. It was and is His whole purpose in Creation – “…that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

Interestingly, the Jesus Revolution made the cover of the weekly TIME Magazine, a unique position in the pre-internet media of that day, on June 21, 1971. Only five years earlier, on April 8, 1966, the cover of TIME had run the question “Is God Dead?” on a black background. Here was a popular concept growing among liberal theologians whose faith in the God-of-the-Bible had become severely diminished by what they thought was an irrelevance to modern society. They wanted to replace the true gospel with the “social gospel”. The fruit of the movement continues into the present day – with the advance of secular humanism, global cultural Marxism, LGBTQ propaganda, “wokeism”, etc. We have discussed in these letters the many attacks of philosophers and scientists who have thoroughly imbibed the biblically undermining implications of the theory of evolution.

Not only is creation science a powerful defense against the false philosophy of evolutionism, but creation itself is powerful in drawing us in to a knowledge of who God really is. And He makes a “first pass” through the gateway of our hearts by “what has been made”. These are glimpses of His glory! For example, we are struck by the wonder and perfection of babies; or by a great flock of birds in a grand sky landing in synchronous flight; or by a grand splash and gradient of colors across the sky from orange to gold to red to purple in a sunset in the clouds across the plains, behind the mountains, or reflected by a lake.

To share the love of Christ with people all over the world, Creation Moments is now broadcasting our radio programs and reaching people on almost every continent, in eight different languages. And we are being called to expand our media outreach, proclaiming truth about the God of the Bible – including pre-evangelism creation science apologetics and creation-evangelism. It is a very important message to all nations, tongues, and peoples. For one day this present age will end and there will be an invitation to the marriage of the Lamb, and the glory and love of God will not just be “glimpsed” but experienced in a potential of great fullness!

God bless you! Thank you for praying and giving and serving through the work of this mission to proclaim the multiple evidences of the truth of the living and active Word of God!

    Yours in Christ,

    Mark Cadwallader, Board Chairman
