“O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches” (Psalm 104:24).

It’s that wonderful time of year again, when all the world takes special notice of the advent of the Savior! “Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, …and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us” (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23).

But believing in Emmanuel presumes believing in the Creator, God Almighty. And the official dogma of the ruling secular institutions of our day is evolutionism, which is based on and purports to prove godless materialist philosophy. It influences billions of people. Time and chance have officially replaced the Creator.

Like it or not, we are in the midst of spiritual warfare – between, on the one hand, the world, the flesh, and the devil … and, on the other, the redemptive truth of God. The prize and the battleground in this warfare are the hearts and minds of people – you and me, our families, friends, neighbors and those in far away places.

Creation truth is so very important today – both for preserving important elements of the positive influence of the Bible and for “pre-evangelism” leading to Christian conversion. Like it was with the Apostle Paul’s sermon on the Areopagus (Mars Hill) in Athens, Greece (Acts 17:16-34), where he made reference to their altar with an inscription “TO THE UNKNOWN GOD”.

People in our day everywhere need to know something about God, Creator Almighty – who is perfect love and perfect justice (Exodus 34:6-7). And to know that He has left us His trustworthy “Manufacturer’s Handbook” – the Bible!

Creation Moments is, in fact, being used for evangelism all over the world! For example, thanks to your generous prayers and giving, we began on October 30, 2022, broadcasting Creation Moments to south Asia in the Hindi language – the fourth most-spoken language in the world today. This is in addition to our broadcasts in English, Mandarin, Spanish, Korean and other languages being aired by ourselves and our partners in ministry.

The truth of God is used by His Holy Spirit to connect with people everywhere. Some have even found discarded pocket New Testaments and other materials, and have turned to the Lord for salvation.

This was the case for “Yuri”. Abandoned by his parents, the teenager lived at the garbage dump gathering a few meager belongings and finding warmth in the decaying trash and the simmering landfill fires. He was bitter and depressed and found himself asking, “What do I have to live for? I might as well die.”

But Yuri found a pocket New Testament someone had thrown away. And someone else’s trash became to Yuri the most precious treasure! Over the next few weeks Yuri read the pocket New Testament from the rubbish, and, like countless others who encounter their Creator and Savior, darkness gave way to light, despair to hope, and bitterness to a grateful heart.

Like rain and snow which water the ground and bring forth fruit, God’s “word does not return void” (Isaiah 55:11). Yuri had found the truth. He had found the Lord. God, our Creator, became “God with us” through the advent of Jesus Christ. This present life with all its hardship and frustration is not all there is. Yuri discovered he truly had something to be thankful for – something to live for! And it changed his attitude. It changed his life. Yuri went on to leave the landfill and eventually enter full-time Christian ministry.

With Emmanuel, we have been given a Grand Champion, a truly sufficient Savior, and an elder Brother who is “With US” – in a divine and infinite way! This is the promised Champion who would defeat Satan, who God spoke of many years earlier, at the very beginning of Creation.

When the devil, in the form of the serpent, succeeded in deceiving and gaining the allegiance of Adam and Eve, he was the first to receive God’s judgment. God said to the devil, “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it (he) shall bruise (crush) thy head…” (Genesis 3:15).

Biologically and in literature, there is no “seed of the woman”. A male sows the “seed”, and a female receives the “seed”. Genesis 3:15 turns out to be a prophecy of a future descendant of Eve who would have no human father! The promised Seed would therefore have to be miraculously/supernaturally implanted in the womb. God’s Word is absolutely amazing and consistent!

Joseph was tempted to quietly divorce the pregnant Mary. But he got the message not to do that, as the angel of the Lord said to him in a dream, “…that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 1:20).  And when Matthew quotes Isaiah 7:14, he uses the Greek word Parthenos, which unambiguously means “virgin”.

All descendants of Adam have the sin nature and are thus in need of the Savior. But in the miracle at Christmas, Adam’s seed is bypassed to give birth to the only true Savior we could possibly have!

God bless you in this wonderful season, as God gave His best to us – what we perfectly needed! Indeed, “how manifold are thy works!” We can never outgive God! And let me mention in closing, thank you for helping Creation Moments reach so many millions of people in India and around the world through your prayers and faithful giving!

    Merry Christmas!
