Genesis 8:22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

Shortly before I wrote this Creation Moment, the death was announced of the Australian-born broadcaster, humorist, writer, and TV critic Clive James. British millennials will not know this, but in the late 1980s, James was arguably the best known face on British TV. Working for the BBC, he presented chat shows and other light entertainment shows, with his deadpan style delivery, in a manner that let you know he was an intellectual as well as a great wit. New Years Day 1990 was introduced on the BBC with a long TV special which James hosted. But in recent years, his face has not been seen.

Granted, he had been ill for about ten years with the slow-growing cancer which eventually killed him. But even prior to 2010, his face had not been seen on TV for a long time. This was probably because he was a Climate Change Skeptic.

James’s treatment shows that the world’s media will silence the heretics who speak against the great Weather God. In his last published essay, James said of the Climate Change phenomenon, “A bad era for science has been a worse one for the mass media, the field in which, despite the usual blunders and misjudgments, I was once proud to earn my living.”

A side effect of such climate heresy is that there is now a second group of experts – the first being creation scientists – whose undoubted expertise is ignored because their message does not fit the received narrative.

Prayer: Once again, Lord, we thank You for Your promise of keeping this planet working until the day when You choose to end it. Amen.
