Dear Friend of Creation,
Information Wars come in all kinds – spiritual, cultural, political, even scientific. Evolutionism vs Creation Science is one such war of information which we are quite familiar with at Creation Moments – pitting the imaginations of God-denial against the truth of creation and the Bible. The Bible, in fact, gives us our commission – to “cast down” faulty information and uphold the truth of Jesus Christ, whom it describes as both our Savior and Creator!
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ…” (2 Corinthians 10:5).
We know that evolutionism is an unprovable faith that absurdly credits the natural world and chance with what only God can do. And we know that both creation and the Bible itself defy evolution with incredible testimony, evidence, and history which stand up to the tests of time and of modern science.
At the beginning of the above-quoted Scripture, the Bible says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (of the flesh), but mighty through God to the destruction of strong holds…” (2 Corinthians 10:4). There are many “strong holds” of human reasonings (imaginations) “exalting themselves against the knowledge of God”.
Strongholds include not only Evolutionism vs Biblical Creation, but many others we have discussed over the years: Climate Change Hysteria vs Climate Change Reality; The Tyranny, Fraud and Poverty of Socialism, Communism, and Islamism vs Freedom under God; Humanity being Merely Glorified Animals vs the Sanctity of Human Life; Gender Confusion vs the Truth of God Creating Male and Female; and others.
Scripture tells us that God takes very seriously people being seduced by false information, including, but not limited to, false prophets, the worship of foreign gods, and a false gospel (Deuteronomy 13, Galatians 1:8). Let’s not be lulled into acceptance of things that are anathema to Him, letting others, including governing authorities, persist in their acceptance and promotion of such falsehoods.
And that means not only helping to spread the truth of the biblical God, Creator and Savior, but in a democratic Republic, exercising our responsibility in Christian stewardship and witness, to vote!
As mentioned in the quoted Scripture above, our most powerful weapons against these un-Godly reasonings (imaginations) are the spiritual panoply of weapons the Bible tells us about. In Ephesians 6:10-18, we read about how to be “strong… in the power of His might… against spiritual wickedness in high places”, putting on truth, righteousness, the gospel, faithfulness, hope (salvation), the Word of God, and prayer!
We are in a “wrestling” match, “not against flesh and blood”. We battle things like deception, delusion, and discouragement – the “wiles of the devil”. And we are up against plenty of disinformation, so we need even more discernment.
The Bible tells us that even Christ “learned obedience by the things which He suffered”. And we are cautioned not to be “dull of hearing” but be like “…those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Hebrews 5:8-14). And the Bible prophesies, “For the time will come when they (people) will not endure sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They shall turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables (myths)” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
The reason so many young people have moved “Left”, politically speaking, is largely because of the failure to get schools out from under the goals of progressive control and the radical teachers' unions through high school. And because colleges are populated with tenured Marxist-Islamist sympathetic faculty and DEI personnel. We have discussed the evolution-supported advance of decades-old Communist Goals in modern society numerous times, and you can read some of these essays exploring their subversive nature in my book Truth is Beauty, published in 2023 and available as part of our current Autumn Sale of books in our online Store.
The Bible says that Satan, the devil, is “the god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4) and the whole “world lies under the power of the wicked one” (1 John 5:19). Indeed, much of “mainstream media” is better termed “worldly media” and therefore part of the disinformation which comes under the devil’s purview.
There is, in fact, a paradoxical tension between the great truths about this being both the Father’s creation as well as Satan’s age. Both are true. And it is equally true that we must earnestly:
- Pray, give, and work to know Christ and to make Christ known. As well as vote, persuading others too, for it is our Christian responsibility in this form of government.
- Rest in faith that God is Sovereign, sharing His wonderful presence with us now, and having something glorious in store in the next age for those who cleave to the Savior here and now! As the old gospel hymn puts it, “We’ll work till Jesus comes, and we’ll be gathered home!”
Please pray for and give generously to Creation Moments, as we fulfill our mission to a world starving for the truth of the Bible, bringing faith and salvation to many parts of the world through the undeniable truths of God’s creation, and the “Savior which is Christ the Lord”!
Yours in Christ,
Mark Cadwallader, Board Chairman
P.S. It is with great pleasure that I recommend the brand new 9th edition of Dr Walter Brown’s great creation science classic, In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood. This greatly expanded, highly anticipated edition—comprehensive, understandable, and meticulously documented—will give insights to readers of all backgrounds. You will be challenged to consider fresh ideas in this age-old debate. Dr. Henry Morris, the “father” of the modern Creation Science movement, once observed: “Walt Brown is the greatest mind in Christendom.”
Walt Brown was a National Science Fellow and a Mechanical Engineering PhD from MIT (in record time). He was a tenured Air Force Academy professor, teaching mathematics, physics, and computer science, heading a department of 150 math professors. He left fame and fortune for a higher calling, as he realized the ‘science’ of evolution was a farce, and was convinced that the Bible reflected science truthfully. Dr. Brown was a wonderful teacher as well as scientist, with explanations, illustrations and models which make his book an exciting read for anyone. From housewives to degreed scientists, the 644-page In the Beginning is fascinating, and one can jump into any spot of interest without reading the whole to assimilate Walt’s 35 years’ research.
As mentioned in this letter, freedom under God is one of the testimonies of our great Creator through creation. And we see God’s valuation of freedom all through the Bible. America’s founders had a good grasp of this, and put “freedom under God” front and center in their organization of the United States. In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, my latest book, Creation’s Vision for Freedom, celebrates and reminds us of important principles and history of freedom (including the freedom to vote) that still echo from the Garden of Eden today.
